Established by Kunming Medical University, this program is designed to help those international students doing well in the academic performance but not receiving such programs as the Chinese Government Scholarship, the Yunnan Government Scholarship, etc. to complete their studies and researches in Kunming Medical University. The program is subject to an annual review system and RMB 16,000 yuan/person/year shall be provided to the qualified students for their tuition fee after the annual assessment. Other fees shall be charged in accordance with Kunming Medical University 2023 Admission Brochure for International Students.

1. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with good conduct and with no criminal records, and shall be in good health both physically and psychologically, excellent in academic performance, friendly to China. And they shall abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the discipline and regulations of Kunming Medical University and respect to the Chinese customs and manners as well.
2. Applicants shall hold a graduation certificate of the senior-high school or above and be from 18-25 years of age
3. Applicants shall have the certificate of HSK 4 Chinese proficiency or above. And those having no certificate of HSK 4 but doing well in the academic performance during their study in the senior-high school can apply for one year Chinese language study funded with the scholarship.
4. This scholarship program is for new students only.

1.Application online
Applicants are required to complete online-application on the website of Kunming Medical University (KMU), website: http://study.kmmc.cn or https://kmmc.17gz.org/. Applicants for scholarship programs may refer to 2023 scholarship programs admission brochures. Necessary documents shall be provided as follows:
① Application Form for International Students of KMU（print after online application）;
② Scan copies of the valid passport;
③ Scan copies of Physical Examination Record For Foreigner and the blood check report;
④ Scan copies of notarized senior-high school graduation certificates, diploma and transcripts either in Chinese or in English;
⑤ Scan copies of HSK4 Certificate or above;
⑥ Personal resume and study plans written in Chinese or English;
⑦ Scan copies of Non-criminal Certificate issued by authorities;
⑧ Family financial situation documents.
2.Notification and Interview
Kunming Medical University will review and exam all the documents and conduct the interviews to the applicants who have passed the first examination and then enroll the selected applicants according to their performances.
1. Kunming Medical University shall mail JW202/JW201 forms and admission notices to the qualified applicants. International students who are admitted shall apply for X1 Visa in time and register to International Education School of Kunming Medical University with all the original application materials and admission documents on the dates specified in the admission notices. Students who fail to register over two weeks after the deadline without any explanation shall be considered as abandoning their admission qualifications to Kunming Medical University.
2. Scholarship recipients shall not be permitted to change their admission college, major of study, or duration of study.
3. Students who are unable to register over two weeks shall give the leave applications in written form to International Education School. Otherwise their scholarship qualifications will be cancelled after the deadline.
VII. Annual Assessments
Students shall abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the discipline and regulations of Kunming Medical University and complete their studies and researches as required on time. For those who fail to pass the assessments, their scholarship will be cancelled.
